First Lady Urges Nigerian Youth To Aim Higher, Donates Nine Buses To APC Youth Wing

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has urged Nigerian youths to pursue greater achievements through hard work, patience and integrity as she donated nine buses to the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Youth Wing.

Speaking on Friday while receiving the APC National Youth Wing leadership at the State House in Abuja, Mrs Tinubu encouraged young Nigerians not to settle for mediocrity but to remain focused on achieving greater success.

She advised youths to embrace diligence, patience and contentment, stressing that lasting success comes through perseverance rather than haste.

“God always knows our needs, and that is what young people do not always understand. They are always in a hurry. I am teaching you to learn contentment and not be beggarly,” she said.

The First Lady also urged them to adopt what she described as the “eagle mentality,” encouraging them to rise above challenges and chart their own path instead of comparing themselves with others.

“You have to have the eagle’s mentality. When the eagle sees the storm, it rises above it. You should always look for your own path and not because someone else has something, you also want it,” she added.

Mrs Tinubu commended the APC youth leadership for promoting unity within the party and strengthening its activities at the grassroots.

She urged members of the youth wing to continue engaging Nigerians and promoting the achievements of President Bola Tinubu’s administration under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

According to her, as representatives of the ruling party, they must demonstrate resilience and commitment to advancing the administration’s vision for the country.

To support their activities, the First Lady presented nine buses to the APC National Youth Wing to ease transportation during party engagements and community outreach programmes.

Earlier, APC National Youth Leader, Dayo Israel, thanked Mrs Tinubu for the donation, describing it as a major boost to the youth wing’s capacity.

He pledged the group’s continued support for the Renewed Hope Agenda and said the buses would enhance mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Israel added that the youth wing would intensify efforts to promote the party’s programmes and expand its campaign structures across the 36 states of the federation.
