Hillary Clinton Accuses Trump Administration of Delaying Epstein Files Release

Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has accused the administration of President Donald Trump of deliberately delaying the full release of documents linked to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, describing the handling of the files as a “cover-up.”

Speaking at the annual World Forum, Clinton alleged that officials are “slow-walking” the disclosure of materials related to Epstein and called for their immediate public release.

“Get the files out,” she said. “They are slow-walking it.”

The White House rejected the accusation, stating that the administration has already released thousands of pages of documents and complied with congressional requests. Officials added that the government has “done more for the victims than Democrats ever have.”

The U.S. Department of Justice said it has adhered to the provisions of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, legislation passed earlier this month requiring greater disclosure. However, some lawmakers argue that the release remains incomplete. Republican Representative Thomas Massie has called for additional internal Justice Department memos, particularly those detailing past charging decisions, to be made public.

Epstein died in a New York jail in August 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges. His death occurred more than a decade after he pleaded guilty in Florida to soliciting prostitution from a minor.

Clinton also addressed questions about whether Prince Andrew should testify before Congress, saying that anyone formally asked to appear should do so. She added that being named in documents does not, in itself, constitute evidence of wrongdoing. Prince Andrew has repeatedly denied any misconduct.

Clinton and former President Bill Clinton are scheduled to testify before the House Oversight Committee later this month after lawmakers shelved a planned contempt vote. Both have denied any prior knowledge of Epstein’s crimes and have not been accused of wrongdoing by survivors.

Responding to Clinton’s remarks, Trump told the BBC he has “nothing to hide,” stating that he severed ties with Epstein decades ago and has been cleared of any involvement.
