Ibukun Awosika Steps Down As Cadbury Nigeria Director After 17 Years

Cadbury Nigeria Plc has announced the resignation of Ibukun Awosika from its board, bringing her tenure as a director to an end.

The company disclosed the development in a notice to the Nigerian Exchange Limited and investors, stating that the board had accepted her resignation with effect from May 1, 2026. The notice was signed by company secretary Afolasade Olowe.

Awosika joined the board in 2009 and has served for over a decade, contributing to the company’s corporate governance and strategic direction.

In its statement, the board expressed appreciation for her service, acknowledging her role and impact during her time with the company.

Cadbury Nigeria added that a replacement would be announced in due course as it moves to fill the vacancy created by her departure.

The company, a subsidiary of the global Cadbury brand, produces beverages, confectionery, and cocoa-based products, and operates from Lagos as a listed entity on the Nigerian Exchange.
