Trump Issues Stark Ultimatum To Iran, Warns Of Devastating Consequences Without Deal

US President Donald Trump has issued a dramatic warning to Iran, saying the country faces catastrophic consequences if it fails to reach an agreement with Washington before a set deadline.

In a series of statements over the weekend and into Monday, Trump said Iran had until Tuesday evening (US time) to strike a deal, as tensions continue to rise over the strategic Strait of Hormuz.

The US leader demanded the full reopening of the vital shipping route, warning that failure to comply could trigger severe military action. In a post on his Truth Social platform, he wrote that Iran’s “whole civilization” could be at risk if urgent steps are not taken.

Trump also hinted at the possibility of political change in Iran, suggesting that a new leadership could emerge if current tensions escalate further. He described the situation as a potentially defining moment in global history.

The rhetoric intensified on Monday, with the US president threatening to target critical Iranian infrastructure, including power plants and transport networks, if Tehran fails to meet his conditions.

Reports have since indicated strikes on key infrastructure in parts of Iran, including rail lines and bridges. Iranian state media also confirmed casualties following an incident in Kashan city.

Earlier, the Israeli military had advised civilians in Iran to avoid railway systems temporarily due to security concerns, as the risk of further escalation remains high.

Meanwhile, Iran has rejected calls for a temporary ceasefire, insisting that any resolution must involve a permanent end to hostilities, further complicating diplomatic efforts to ease tensions.
