Wizkid Set To Headline Detty December Fest In Lagos

Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Wizkid will headline the opening night of the 2026 Detty December Fest in Lagos, organisers have announced.

Wizkid is scheduled to perform on December 18, kicking off the 13-day festival, which will run until December 30 and feature music, culture, food, fashion and entertainment.

The festival, organised by Livespot360, will introduce a second stage this year as part of efforts to expand its programme and give emerging African artists more opportunities to perform.

Wizkid will headline the main Festival Stage, while the new Pulse Stage will feature rising artists and new sounds from across Africa.

Livespot360 co-founder and Chief Creative Officer, Darey Art Alade, said the new stage reflects the growing global influence of African music and will give younger artists an opportunity to perform alongside established stars.

The 2026 edition will combine performances from major music acts with a platform for emerging talent, further expanding the festival’s role in Lagos’ busy December entertainment calendar.

Wizkid’s performance is expected to be one of the major highlights of the opening night.
