Top 5 Universities in South Africa by ranking focuses on academic, prestige and intellectual capabilities making them unique among several universities in Africa. Started in 2013, the QS University Rankings: BRICS hunts for the top colleges in the five BRICS nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa). We will discuss the top 5 colleges among those that are searched by BRICS. The University of Cape Town is South Africa’s most remarkable college in both the BRICS positioning and the QS World University Rankings. This particular college is ranked 171st on the planet. Established in 1829, it is one of the oldest colleges in the whole country. From over 100 countries in Africa, this college has groups of students who are highly sophisticated and cultured. In the BRICS countries, this college ranks 26 and in the whole world, it ranks 331. The campus is divided into five respective urban and suburban areas of Johannesburg. Established in 1896, it is also one of the oldest universities in South Africa, nicknamed “Wits University”. The university currently holds around 34,000 scholars with more than 8% hailing from outside the country.

Currently, it holds a huge capacity of students, ranging around 31,000. Nicknamed “maties”; the university has total five campuses. The recent campus was inaugurated in Worcester, which aimed to upgrade, advance and creates awareness regarding health services in rural areas.

It is ranked 66 in BRICS and 601-650 in the whole world.
